Wendy Lambie Weingarten
Assistant Director
Wendy has over 30 years of camping experience as both a camper, staff member and administrator. Wendy joined the Danbee family in 1998 as the Gymnastics Director and has continued to be part of the administration team. Most recently, Wendy became the Assistant Director at Danbee in November 2008. Wendy is a National Board Certified teacher in the Chicago Public School system and has a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. She has been teaching for 13 years and brings her knowledge of camp into the classroom to make learning fun. Wendy attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where she was a four year varsity letter winner for the women's gymnastics team. She continues to use her gymnastics background to coach the Highland Park High School gymnastics team. Staff and campers know that if Wendy is on the job that things will run well and the campers will be in good hands.

Emily Goodman-Simeone
Head Counselor
Emily is one of Danbee's Head Counselors and works in the Danbee office year round. Emily is a licensed Social Worker in New York State and prior to coming to Danbee, she worked with children and adults in both mental health and non-profit settings. Emily earned her Master's in Social Work from Fordham University after completing her Bachelor's in Psychology and Classics from Tufts University. During her tenure at Tufts, Emily played on the Varsity Women's Basketball team, was a 1000 point scorer and earned NESCAC and NEWBA honors. A camper at heart, Emily attended sleepaway camp and spent summers working as a day camp counselor. Emily enjoys visiting with new and returning campers in the offseason.

Kerry Moriarty
Head Counselor
Kerry Moriarty is a Head Counselor at Camp Danbee. She began her life long love of camping and caught the "Danbee bug" as a camp mom in 1995. She continued with Danbee for four summers working her way up to a Group Leader position for the youngest campers. Kerry returned as a key staff member for our week long Discovery Camp where she spread the spirit of Danbee and traditions to potential campers. In 2007, Kerry stepped into the role of Head Counselor. Kerry is a speech language pathologist by profession. She has specialized in oral deaf education for children who are deaf and hard of hearing. Currently, she resides in Denver, Colorado where she is employed by Crawford Elementary School. She welcomes you and your daughters with open arms each summer and is there for you all every step of the way.

Kim Zastempowski
Coordinator of Bunk Life
Kim has been part of the Danbee family since 2002. She spends her summers up at camp with her husband Adam, one of our Tennis Directors, and their daughter Emme. Kim nurtures our campers and is a "Mom away from Mom" to our campers. Danbee girls will be the first to tell you that Kim gives the best hugs!!! Kim is a graduate of Penn State and has a degree in Elementary Education. She resides in Nokoma, Florida where she teaches tennis to school age children alongside her husband.

Adam Zastempowski
Co-Tennis Director
Adam is one of Danbee's tennis Directors. His knowledge and experience has helped take Danbee's tennis program to a new level. Adam is the Tennis Director at Jacaranda West Country Club in Venice, Florida. He has been a high school and middle school tennis coach and is USPTA Certified Professional, Level 1. Adam has been ranked as high as #1 singles in the state of Florida and was twice voted Florida's USPTA Player of the Year. Adam returns to Danbee each summer with his wife, Kim.

Neal Gerhart
Co-Tennis Director
Neal Gerhart is one of Danbee's tennis directors. For 20 summers, Neal has left his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama to teach our girls skills so that they become the best tennis players they can be. During the offseason, Neal teaches Literature and coaches numerous soccer and tennis teams. He is an asset to Danbee and a phenemonal teacher- we are lucky to have him.

Susan Greally
Landsports and Leagues Director
Susan has been part of the Danbee family both as a camper and a counselor. She started here when she was a camper and later returned with her two daughters in 1999 to run the pools and later become athletic and leagues director. When Susan is not at camp, she is a P.E. and health teacher, a Dean for Girls, as well as a dorm parent at The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, NY. She also coaches Field Hockey, Basketball and Lacrosse. Susan is accompanied each summer by her husband, Frank. Frank is responsible for all the pictures you see on the web and, as you might image, is very popular with our campers.

Mike Snodgrass
Lakefront Director
Mike is our Lakefront Director and has been a part of the Danbee family for 14 summers. He oversees our waterfront programs which include waterskiing, windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, boating and fishing. Mike runs one of the safest waterfronts in the camping industry. He supervises a staff of 20 who are all Red Cross and Lifeguard certified. Our girls love participating in our aquatic activities on Lake Ashmere.

Jerry Nelson
Gymnastics Director
Jerry Nelson is Danbee's gymnastics director. One of the most respected gymnastics figures in the nation, Jerry is the Head Coach of Women's Gymnastics at South Connecticut State University and was named 2007's Division II National Coach of the Year. He is well-loved by our campers and provides quality instruction for campers of all skill levels.
